HCS/SCS/SB 520 - This act will require the registration of commercial trailers. Any current registration for a trailer previously issued shall remain valid and those trailers may continue to be registered.
This act clarifies that highest weight class for property- carrying local and beyond local commercial vehicles is for a gross weight between 72,001 to 80,000 and 78,001 to 80,000 pounds, respectively.
This act also clarifies if a refund is due because license plates are returned and a portion of the refund is moneys transferred due to a reciprocity agreement, the refund will only be made to the extent moneys are received from the other state.
This act also corrects double-enacted section 301.130.
